Waterjet Pipe Cutter

Waterjet cutting a 54" diameter pipe.

Waterjet ripping a pipe.

This 2" thick section of steel was cut with a Jet Edge abrasivejet Pipe Cutter.

Jet Edge waterjets were used to cut off the damaged oil wellheads during the Kuwait oil fires so they could be capped.

The Pipe Cutter can be used on a linear track for cutting fabricated metal structures.

Jet Edge’s Waterjet Pipe Cutter is a hydraulically controlled portable abrasivejet cutting system designed especially for cutting pipelines, reinforced concrete and metal structures. The Pipe Cutter can operate horizontally or vertically. A specially designed track allows the Pipe Cutter to clamp to standard sized pipe (6”-60” diameter) for pipe cutting operations. The Pipe Cutter also can be attached to a variety of tracks for cutting flat or curved surfaces for linear cutting applications.

A CUT ABOVE
Jet Edge's Pipe Cutter can operate horizontally or vertically. A specially designed track allows the Pipe Cutter to clamp to standard sized pipe (6”-60” diameter) for pipe cutting operations. The Pipe Cutter also can be attached to a variety of tracks for cutting flat or curved surfaces for linear cutting applications.

Suitable for potentially hazardous environments:

  • Cuts virtually any material without heat or flames
SUPPORTING EQUIPMENT
The Jet Edge Pipe Cutter system includes a Pipe Cutter carriage, hydraulic drive assembly, abrasivejet, abrasive hopper, abrasivejet mounting hardware, control panel, remote UHP control assembly and hoses.

For standard operation, it requires:
  • A mobile intensifier pump to supply UHP water
  • Air compressor to supply abrasive hopper
  • Hydraulic power to operate support equipment
  • Track (see specifications for track options)
  • Orifices and nozzles to shape UHP water stream
